Parkventure Privacy Policy

Welcome to Parkventure!

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have when using the Parkventure mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Throughout this Privacy Policy, "Parkventure," "we," "our," and "us" refer to Big Puppy Tech LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as Parkventure, which operates the Services and is the controller of your personal information.

By using Parkventure, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use Parkventure, we may automatically collect information such as:

We use this information to improve security, performance, reliability, and the overall user experience. Some of this information, such as usage analytics, is associated with your account rather than collected anonymously: when you sign in, our analytics provider is told your account identifier, your email address, and which sign-in method you used, so that your activity can be linked to one account.

We may also record how the app's screens are used during a session (session replay) so we can diagnose problems and improve the app. In these recordings, text you type or view and photos are masked before they leave your device, and no precise location is captured.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Parkventure Plus, we store your subscription status linked to your account: whether it is active, its plan, and when it expires. This is what tells the app which features to unlock.

We do not receive or store your payment card, bank details, or billing address. Those are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. What we receive from our subscription provider is limited to the status of your entitlement.

Location Information

If you allow it, Parkventure reads your device's location to sort parks and attractions by how close they are to you.

That happens entirely on your device. Parkventure does not send your location to our servers, does not store it, and does not share it with anyone. Your logs record what you did, never where you were standing when you logged it.

Location access is optional. The app works without it, and you can turn it off at any time through your device settings.

Photos

If you choose to upload photos, Parkventure stores those photos so they can be attached to your memories and experiences.

By default, your photos are private unless you choose to share them through Parkventure's community features or other public areas of the app.

All publicly shared photos are subject to Parkventure's Community Content & Standards and may be removed if they violate these guidelines.

If you choose to share a photo publicly, you grant Parkventure a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and feature that content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting Parkventure. This may include displaying your photo in community feeds, featured collections, editorial selections, seasonal showcases, marketing materials, social media, the Parkventure website, presentations, advertisements, and app marketplace listings (including screenshots and promotional images on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and similar platforms).

You retain ownership of your photos at all times. This license exists solely to allow Parkventure to display and promote publicly shared content and does not transfer ownership of your photos to Parkventure. If you remove a photo from the community or delete your account, Parkventure will stop using that content in future promotions within a reasonable period, although previously published materials, cached content, or archived copies may continue to exist for a limited time.

2. Account Eligibility

To create a Parkventure account, you must meet the minimum age required to use our Services under applicable law. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these age requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

If you are under the age of 18, you should review this Privacy Policy with a parent or legal guardian before using Parkventure. In some jurisdictions, parental or guardian consent may be required for minors to use certain features of the Services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Community & Social Features

Parkventure allows you to connect with friends, discover the community, and share your park memories and experiences.

4. Community Content & Standards

Parkventure is designed to be a welcoming, respectful, and family-friendly community for sharing memories and experiences from parks around the world.

When you share content publicly, including photos, comments, reviews, captions, tips, lists, achievements, or other contributions, you are responsible for ensuring that your content is appropriate, accurate, and that you have the necessary rights and permissions to share it.

You may not post content that:

Parkventure reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to review, moderate, restrict, remove, or refuse any user-generated content that violates these standards or that we reasonably believe may negatively impact the safety, integrity, or experience of the Parkventure community.

We may issue warnings, temporarily suspend features, suspend accounts, permanently terminate accounts, or remove content for violations of these standards. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal from Parkventure.

If you encounter content that you believe violates these standards, you may report it through the app or by contacting our support team. We aim to review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Where our standards have been violated, we remove the content and remove or suspend the account responsible.

You may also block another explorer at any time, from their profile, your Park Crew list, or any of their photos. Blocking works in both directions: neither of you will see the other's photos or profile, any existing Park Crew connection between you is removed, and neither of you can add the other again while the block is in place. On public leaderboards a blocked account remains in its position but appears anonymously as an "Explorer", so that blocking someone cannot change your own ranking. Blocking is private, and the other person is not notified. You can undo it at any time under Settings → Park Crew & Community → Blocked accounts. We keep a record of the accounts you have blocked so that we can keep applying it; that record is visible only to you.

While Parkventure may review and moderate user-generated content, we are not obligated to monitor all content and cannot guarantee that all inappropriate or objectionable material will be identified or removed immediately.

6. AI Features

Parkventure does not currently offer AI-powered features.

We may introduce AI-powered features in the future, such as tools to help organize memories, generate summaries, improve search, or recommend experiences. If we do, we will update this Privacy Policy first. Where those features process information you submit, that processing may be handled by trusted AI service providers acting on our behalf, and we will describe it and obtain your consent where required.

We do not use your private content to train publicly available AI models without your explicit permission.

7. Sharing Information

Publicly shared content, including photos, captions, comments, reviews, memories, tips, and other content you choose to make visible through Parkventure's community features, may be viewed by other users and may be featured by Parkventure as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, protect the rights, property, or safety of Parkventure, our users, or others, or investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues.

8. Data Storage & Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information.

While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and improve Parkventure.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required or permitted to retain certain information.

10. Children's Privacy

Parkventure is intended for users who are at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to use online services in their country of residence.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without the required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information promptly.

If you believe a child has created an account in violation of this Privacy Policy, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise children's use of online services and discuss responsible online behavior and sharing.

Parkventure does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable California law.

If you access Parkventure from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where we or our service providers operate.

By using Parkventure, you acknowledge and consent to these transfers where permitted by law.

Parkventure may integrate with third-party providers for services including authentication, analytics, cloud hosting, payment processing, customer support, mapping, notifications, and other operational functionality.

These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will notify users through the Services or by email when appropriate.
