Delete your account

You can delete your Parkventure account and everything in it at any time. There are two ways, and you do not need to contact us to use the first one.

In the app Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account The fastest route. Takes effect immediately.

By email privacy@parkventure.io Use this if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in.

Deleting in the app

Open Parkventure and tap your avatar.
Go to Account Settings.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Your account and its data are removed straight away, and you are signed out on every device.

Deleting by email

If you have already uninstalled Parkventure, or you cannot get into your account, email privacy@parkventure.io from the address your account uses and ask us to delete it. Sending from your own account address is how we confirm the request is really yours. We aim to reply within two business days and to complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your profile, username, avatar and profile banner
Every adventure you have logged, with its dates, ratings and notes
Every photo you have uploaded, including any shared with the community
Your quest progress, badges, XP and level
Your place on every leaderboard
Your Park Crew connections and your friend code
Your sign-in credentials and all active sessions

This is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, and we cannot recover your photos afterwards. Save anything you want to keep before you confirm.

What we keep, and why

One record survives the deletion: a note that the request happened. It holds an internal account identifier, the date and time, the IP address the request came from, and the app or browser that sent it. We keep it so we can show a deletion request was received and carried out, and so we can investigate if someone deletes an account that was not theirs. It is not linked to your name, your email, or anything you logged, and it is never used for anything else.

Beyond that, copies may briefly persist in routine system backups until those backups age out on their normal schedule. Content you had already shared publicly may also survive in caches or in material published before the deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Cancel a subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel a Parkventure Plus subscription. Plus is billed by Apple or Google rather than by us, so cancel it in the App Store or in Google Play before you delete, or it will keep renewing after your account is gone.

If you want your data rather than its removal, or you want to correct something, email privacy@parkventure.io. If you only want to stop sharing publicly, you can turn sharing off without deleting anything: Settings → Park Crew & Community → Community Sharing. Other questions are answered on Support.
